Hello Again!
Hi everyone! I know it has been a long time since the last post-the Howard family has been busy! We finally got all moved into our new home at the end of January and I have been having lots of fun decorating it. Marilyn was a huge help-she redid our kitchen table, made curtains and helped me paint a few things here and there! Cooper turned TWO in March! Can you believe it? I can't! He is such a big boy now! He cracks us up every day with his funny personality. His favorite time of the day is when his daddy comes home from work...he runs up to the door saying "dada" and hugs him. Then, he usually runs and Matt chases him around the house-he is still a Mama's boy but he has really been loving his daddy lately!
It would be really tough to catch everyone up on the last few months, so i'm going to post a slide show and then skip right ahead till Easter! :)
Cooper woke up Easter morning to see that the Easter bunny had come to see him!! He brought him cars, a kids songs cd, candy, sidewalk chalk, toy story toys and a cars movie. We went to church and had a GREAT service! Afterwards, we rushed home to get everything ready for lunch at our house. We had my mom's side of the family over, and also our neighbor who has two boys close to Cooper's age. Trey, Cooper, Braden and Landon had so much fun hunting Easter Eggs...Braden and Trey collected the most eggs, while Cooper ate the candy from each egg as he went! We had some kiddos with a serious chocolate overload by the end of the day!

New Things the Coopster is Doing!
Cooper will be turning 21 months tomorrow and he has been up to some new tricks! He said his first sentence yesterday and his second one today! We were watching one of his fav movies, "Tinkerbell" (Matt's so proud of that! lol) and he pointed at her and said "there it is"! Today, he was putting various objects into a vase and having me empty them out. He put one in and said "Where'd it go, Where'd it go??" and it was so cute! I can't believe our little boy is putting sentences together already. He is saying new words everyday...cat, lights, "moo", duck, Tink for tinkerbell...
He is such a sweet little boy! He has been giving kisses out like candy lately. Today, he grabbed my cheeks and smiled really big and planted a big wet kiss on me!! Melted my heart!! After that, he threw his arms around my neck and gave me the tightest hug ever! He obviously knows how to get whatever he wants for Christmas!!
I have learned a few tricks as well while becoming a parents of a toddler! A few months ago, he began wanting to take as many toys that would fit in his arms with him when we were leaving the apartment. When I took them away, he would throw a fit and cry for a while and he ended up getting out the door with atleast one toy...which led to my car being full of them! I learned that if I told him to tell the toys "bye bye", he would put them down and walk out the door happily! So now, everytime we leave, he has to say "bye bye" to many of his toys. He goes to each one and says "bye bye bunny" "bye bye car" and so on.
Out sweet little guy has strep throat right now...just in time for Christmas! He's handeling it very well and hopefully will get better by Christmas Eve. We found a new dr. in Mansfield close to our new house that was great with him. When she was finished examening him, she said bye and Cooper reached up to give her kisses! I hope she doesn't get strep for Christmas!
Everyone have a wonderfull Christmas! We love you all!

So Funny!

In case the text underneath is too small, it says..."Dear Santa, Bring me what I want for Christmas, or Prancer and Dancer are next!"
My Aunt Kay sent me this and I thought it was HILARIOUS so I had to post it! Hopefully by next deer season we will have a picture of Cooper like this!! I was out at my family's deer lease when I was a little girl so much and all of the men in our family are pretty big (and good) hunters...so Cooper will be out there soon!
So, just a little up date on our little Super Coop...
It seems like he is saying a new word everyday! His speech is developing so well and we are amazed at how quickly this happened after his ear tubes were put in.
His new words are bye bye, car, ball, hot, eyes and star. He also is putting a few words together like "bye bye car" or "it's a car". Today at my grandparent's house, we were teaching him that the fire was "hot hot". When I was little, whenever I saw a fire, stove or oven I would say "hot hot". After only a few times of us telling him that, he pointed and said "hot!". He also pointed to his eye and said "eye" for the first time today.
He loves "The itsey bitsey spider" "paddy cake" and the "Little Einsteins" theme song...he is getting pretty good at doing the motions and "singing" to it. Also, he has COMPLETE conversations with himself! He will pick up a phone, or anything that remotely resembles a phone, and say hi, "talk" a lot, laugh and then say bye bye! It's pretty darn funny to watch!
Dancing is another activity that he has mastered! He turns in circles and jumps and runs in place...pretty cute and entertaining!
We have a busy week ahead as it's getting closer to Christmas...and we are getting more and more excited about moving!!
There is a little boy in this picture somewhere in the midst of all of those toys!!

Halloween!
For Halloween this year, we took Cooper trick or treating in the neighborhood we just bought a house in! We don't move in until January, but we thought it would be a great way to meet all of the neighbors. It turns out that there are so many kids and young families and we are so excited for Cooper to have children his age to play with-there is even a little boy across the street who is one month younger than Cooper! He had fun dressed up as a skunk and he thought Mommy was so funny in her cat outfit...he laughed at my face paint and kept grabbing my tail!
